In history of GSMLL there was four constitutions. First was proclaimed in 2009, when the micronation was formed. Second in 2012. Third constitution was from 2014 and contained idea of Montesquieu's separation of powers for the first time.

Current constitution was proclamed on 24th of July 2020 ad it is based of many world constitutions. Although in the Republic of GSMLL is civil law system based on Polish law, the constitution was largely inspired by the constitutions of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe of South Dacota and Second Polish Republic.
